Ebecho Muslimova (b.1984 Dagestan, Russia) continues the legacy of satirical artists from Honoré Daumier and George Grosz to Peter Saul and Raymond Pettibon. She is known for her alter ego “Fatebe” who she regularly depicts in ribald, often anxiety-ridden situations. Her work was recently included in the exhibition “No Joke” curated by Sanya Kantarovsky this spring at Tanya Leighton Gallery, Berlin. Her work was also recently published in the catalogue “Avery Singer” JRP Ringier, 2015. Muslimova graduated from Cooper Union, and she lives and works in New York. This is her first solo exhibition.
